An Introduction

The Bear Creek Watershed Education Partners (BCWEP) formed in November, 1994 as part of the Bear Creek Watershed Council and became a nonprofit corporation in February 2000. The organization is made up of educators, citizens and local, state, and federal agency personnel from throughout the Bear Creek Watershed. Superintendents from Central Point, Medford, Talent/Phoenix, and Ashland school districts fully support the activities of BCWEP.

BCWEP is a membership organization that offers participants the opportunity to learn from each other. BCWEP meetings provide a forum for discussing environmental education issues, developing projects and new partnerships.  BCWEP develops funding proposals that provide support for a variety of outdoor education activities.

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in outdoor education or improving conditions in our watershed.   BCWEP charges $10.00 per year in membership dues.  If you are interested in becoming a member please sign and return the attached Membership Consent Form.

Meetings are held the first Thursday of every month at 5:00 p.m. at Talent Middle School in the Media Center. Contact Coordinator for details.
