Member Services & Benefits Membership dues are $10.00 per academic year. Dues paying members receive access to watershed monitoring equipment for loan and may attend all educator workshops free of charge. Additional services are described below. Download Member Consent Form.
Project Funding: • Provide funding for monitoring projects, community service projects, and school ground learning centers (contingent on receiving grant funds). • Develop grant proposal to meet specific member needs. Project Coordination and Partnerships: • Coordinate community service, enhancement/restoration & monitoring projects. • Provide technical assistance for project design and implementation. • Assist with community networking. Student Symposiums and Educator Workshops: • Sponsor an annual Bear Creek Watershed Education Symposium. • Sponsor at least two educator workshops each year. Members may attend free of charge. • Provide information on other watershed education training sessions and symposiums. Watershed Monitoring: • Provide access to equipment and reference materials for watershed monitoring and riparian enhancement projects in cooperation with the SOU Environmental Education Program and Jackson Education Service District. • BCWEP can provide testing and collection supplies, kits, nets, waders, rubber boots, amphibian kits, maps, microscopes and much more. • BCWEP web site provides updated information on watershed education activities and a place for students and educators to upload watershed monitoring data. • BCWEP is a place to go to learn about enhancement, education and conservation projects within the Bear Creek Watershed. • Meetings allow for a time to share and network with others. |
